A Escola Marcílio Pontes dos Santos iniciou o projeto de intercâmbio criado pelo professor Clevilson Oliveira. O objetivo é interagir com escolas de vários estados. O pontapé foi com a Escola de Ensino Básico São José de Trezetilias - SC. Na oportunidade as escolas trocaram informações sobre os municípios e um grupo de alunos, dos dois professores, trocaram experiência e fizeram amizades usando o facebook.
